Forecasts for the EU say that e-commerce will become one of the main drivers of growth for the retail industry by 2024. Namely, in 2020 we recorded 18% growth in online sales in EU markets and a 60% increase in online penetration versus 2019. Nikola reveals that BCG expects e-commerce to account for 2/3rd of the growth of the entire retail industry this year, while by 2024 it is expected that 21% of all retail sales will be realized online.
